After having received a comment where ghostbuster said that it’s not possible to live without water for so long, I decided to ask people who might have more knowledge to answer that question. Obviously, living for six months without food and water seems impossible.
One of people I’ve asked was Profiler, author of Psychic Blogger Chic. I have asked her opinion and also asked her to use her Remote Viewing abilities to ‘look’ into the case.
I have received the following reply from her:
There are a lot of references to Universal Mind in the literature. One area where there are a lot of references is the personal improvement or personal development field. Many current authors state that if one wants success in business, personal life or some other field he should use the help of the Universal Mind. Of course, different authors use different names for this and different explanations of why it would work.
An article in Telegraph.co.uk is describing a new ‘wonder’ 15-year old boy in southern Nepal who has been meditating now for 6 months straight without food, water or anything else. He’s been sitting under a pipal tree just like the historical Buddha was sitting for 49 days before reaching his enlightment.
Of course, there’s a lot of motion around this ongoing event and a lot of pilgrims from India and Nepal started to gather around the place, creating a buzz and a market.
The question that interest me most is how does he manage to live without food or water for so long. In what kind of state his mind and body are that there’s virtually no metabolism going on in his body? Where does he get the energy he needs to live?

Update: There’s also an article on BBC.
Update: I have contacted a person regarding this event and received a reply.

There’s an interesting article on the newscientist.com site about benefits of meditation. This articles describes a research done on mediation and its effects on about 30 people. The research was led by Bruce O’Hara and his colleagues at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, US. The test showed that right after meditation people tend to have a quicker reaction than even people after sleep. Here’s a quote from the article:
Ten volunteers were tested before and after 40 minutes of either sleep, meditation, reading or light conversation, with all subjects trying all conditions. The 40-minute nap was known to improve performance (after an hour or so to recover from grogginess). But what astonished the researchers was that meditation was the only intervention that immediately led to superior performance, despite none of the volunteers being experienced at meditation.
Another research that they have conducted in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston using MRI show that "…meditating actually increases the thickness of the cortex in areas involved in attention and sensory processing, such as the prefrontal cortex and the right anterior insula…".
So, don’t waste time and meditate more often.
Personally, I noted that I when I meditated for rest, I felt reenergised after just 15 minutes of meditation. I must confess, though, that I wish I’ve meditated more often.

Steve Pavlina has posted an entry on his weblog where he gives tips for manifesting money as part of his Million Dollar Experiment. In this post he explains that money can be ‘found’ just by manifesting the intent of receiving it.
The idea is that by announcing your intent to receive money and putting your mind to it will somehow make the money to start appearing in your life. In the post he describes his personal story with money manifistation. He started from manifesting pennies and he notices that he started to constantly finding pennies on the ground. After some time he ‘increased’ his intend into larger coins and so it was that he had found nickels and quuarters. Later he introduced his wife to the system. Here’s a quote for Steve’s article:
"When my wife and I would go out on dates during this time, I’d demonstrate my new "power" to find coins anywhere we went. Then she became "infected" too and started finding coins with me. One time after I found a penny, she said, "Wait a minute. Why are we focusing on pennies here? I want to manifest a dollar". Later during that same date as we walked back to our car, she found a dollar bill in good condition lying flat on the ground in the parking lot – it was directly on the way to our car. We were stunned to say the least."
Although I find the story of Steve interesting I know that it can actually be done on personal experience, and not only with coins (or bills). When I was younger, about the the ages 12 to 14 I was constantly amazed at the power of the belief and intent to ‘receive’ things. At that time, as a child, I was collecting different unimportant stuff. When I wanted to find something that I collected I would say a short prayer with the intent of finding what I wanted, and usually there it was.
In one more original event I needed a small amount of money to buy something that my grandmother asked me to bring. And I was saying the same little prayer with the intent to somehow solve the situation. On my way to the shopping center a resting soldier stopped me and asked me to buy something for him. He gave me a small amount of money to buy this. I accepted, went to a nearby shop, bought what he wanted and brought it to him. There was a small amount of change left after I bought all the stuff. I intended to return it to him but he insisted I keep to myself. So I did. To my great surprise that was the exact amount of money I was short in the beginning, so I went on and bought for my grandmother what she had asked for.
So, don’t throw away your belief and tell the world that you want to pull money into your life.

Universal Mind is known in the literature by many names. Some call it the Collective Subconcious, Psi-field, Global mind, Cosmic mind, Space-Time Unit(STU), the Akashic records. All these names refer to something that a person can ‘connect’ to in order to receive information that cannot be reached in any known way.
The information can be virtually anything, related to any person at any place and time. It is possible to see other places (Remote Viewing), to see events in the lives of people, diagnose health problem from a distance and more. I have seen distance diagnosing either using visualization or using biolocation technique.
How can the information be accessed?
This is the first part of the promised article about Universal Mind. The article will be published here in several parts, most probably 4. After that I will add it to the articles section and also provide a PDF version of the entire article. You are strongly encouraged to comment and add your thoughts on the subject.
Universal Mind theory
Do you believe in parapsychology phenomena? Have you experienced telepathy? I know you did. It’s when you remembered someone and a moment later he calls you. When you feel from distance that your child feels bad.
My son has been ill for several days now. On Thursday he developed fever and we took him to a doctor. After examination the doctor concluded that he had ear inflammation (otitis) and has prescribed some drops to ease it.
On Friday I was driving in my car with a relative and one local psychic healer. She (the healer) studied and now teaches at some very unique courses to develop her ability to diagnose and heal. During the ride I mentioned that my son is sick. She asked what it is. I told her about the otitis.
Two seconds later she tells me that his inflammation is in the throat, on the right side and this inflammation is the source of his illness. I asked he how she concluded that. She explained that when I imagined my son she visualized his problem (she doesn’t know him) and that she saw an inflammation in his throat on the right side.
Several days have passed and yesterday we took him again to a doctor (another one). This one examined him again and told that his ears look ok now but that his throat is very red and there’s a visible inflammation in there.
I asked on what side it was and she said that on the right. She later asked me if I wanted to look and so I saw there a red/white bubble inside the throat on the right side. The doctor said that this is some virus and that it will pass.
Little in my life have I witnessed such a strong evidence of psychic power.
Profiler, the psychic blogger chic, wrote about doing remote viewing work for the police. In her article "You can’t hide" she tells that psychics are now more and more used by the police to investigate cases.
In the article she quotes an interview she had with a victim of a missing person case, who was killed. From the interview she received the description of the crime, what happened to the body, the name of the killer and more information. She also described how she looked into the scene from the murderer’s point of view for several seconds.
A quote from her interview:
I passed out again, which made him mad, he wanted me to stay awake. He was so mad that he put his hands on my throat and cut off my air. He hit me across the face and told me to wake up. He choked the air out of me, I couldn’t breath and I died. Right there. He was so angry – I watched as he yelled and cursed at me. He was mad that I died before the end of his movie.
Later in the article she also describes what happened to the victim’s soul and how she got help to easy the shock of her death.
There is an article in The Official University of Manitoba Students’ Newspaper Website about a student named Adam who heals at a distance. He is using visualizations for diagnosing and healing. Here’s a quote from the article:
… when Adam is trying to heal someone with a heart problem, he projects himself inside this person’s heart, amid the blood, veins and arteries. Once inside the patient, Adam takes a visual tour of the ailing organ. By manipulating what he sees, Adam leads the person’s body on the path back to health.
Adam describes healing from a distance just by looking at the patients photograph. He then sees his patient, his energy and minipulates the energy to heal. The article also provides the most known story of Adam’s healing ability when he cured a rock star from cancer. The story from the article:
Adam and his abilities gained widespread media attention in 2002, when he allegedly cured the terminal pancreatic cancer of rock legend Ronnie Hawkins — without ever having met him.
Reading in his local paper that Hawkins had been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer and had been given three to six months to live, Adam asked Hawkins’ manager for a photograph of the musician. He conducted a series of treatments on Hawkins, working to reduce the size of his tumour by accessing his hologram. As Adam continued to treat Hawkins, the musician gradually began to look and feel healthier.
In April 2003, eight months after Hawkins’ cancer had been diagnosed as terminal, doctors ran an MRI. Hawkins was cancer-free, with no evidence of any tumour remaining.
Personally, I know people who heal from a distance using several techniques, some of them reminding the way that this guy Adam describes.
