In the last several days I’ve been busy reading about Quantum Touch healing practice. I’ve seen references to Quantum Touch before but this time I’ve got seriously interested.
Quantum Touch is an energy healing technique developed by Richard Gordon after seeing its basic from another healer. Richard Gordon has written a book and developed a workshop to teach the technique. Here’s a short explanation from the Quantum Touch website:
In principal the Quantum-Touch practitioner learns to focus and amplify life-force energy, which is most often referred to as ‘Chi‘ or ‘Prana‘. This is accomplished by combining various breathing and body awareness exercises. When the practitioner holds a high vibrational field of life-force energy around an affected area, through a process of resonance and entrainment, the client naturally matches the vibration of the practitioner, allowing one’s own biological intelligence to do whatever healing it deems necessary.
The site of the Quantum Touch has a newsletter and a forum where people talk about the system and tell success stories. Here’s one of the latest success stories which I have found on the forum:
For 6 years the arthritis had become increasingly more debilitating and painful. She had exhausted all western, conventional and alternative doctors, medicines and therapies to no avail. Yet she still saw a chiropractor and massage therapist on a weekly basis. And she was my husband’s next Quantum-Touch appointment.
I was making sure all was in order in the room as I glanced out the front window. She was here. Sixty eight years old and crawling on all fours up the 12 concrete steps to our home, her cane clutched in her right hand. Horrified, I called to Rick, a certified Quantum-Touch practitioner. We ran out together to help her up the rest of the way.
Once inside, I noticed that she was terribly bent over, like the top of the cane she carried, and years of pain were etched on her face.
I left them alone as Rick proceeded to make her comfortable and get her medical history. Life had become a battle with her crippling joints and for her there was no joy in living, nor even a decent quality of life. Her pain-racked body was winning. She was at the end of her rope and ready to give up.
Two hours passed. At her insistence, Rick called me back into the room before she left. There, a more youthful, invigorated woman stood, erect, on one side on the room. The cane in her right hand was held high above her head. Her countenance transformed to one of pain-free peacefulness, she instructed, "Watch THIS Honey!". She then marched across the room and back, knees fluidly lifted high in exaggeration, and all the while pumping her cane up and down like a college drum majorette! And smiling from ear to ear.
After several days, Rick had a second session with her. He had spent a good deal of the first one assisting her with emotional blocks/issues and there was a little more to be done.
A week later she called to inform us that for the first time in six years, she was out enjoying her walks again. The following week to let us know she was back to jogging, and the week after that, she claimed to be out "chasing men"! Each time she thanked Rick warmly.
We didn’t hear from her again until months later, around Christmastime. She wanted to let us know that she was moving out of the state. And to thank him one more time. Hugs, Christina – Un-certified QT Practitioner
This story is very inspirational and it is just one of the many stories in the site. I’ve started reading the book by Richard Gordon and have now finished several chapters. One of the pillars of the system, as I found out, is correct breathing to increase the energy flow together with some other energy moving technique. I have by myself already seen the connection between concentrated abdominal breathing and energy flow, so the suggestions in the book come very naturally to me.
Guided by my intuition I’ve called a local Quantum Touch practitioner and it appeared that she gives the workshop and one may be soon in the coming 2 months. I’m definitely going to take this course. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
